Printed Outer Milk Bags
A group of talented women in Ontario are crocheting the
printed outer bags from 4L milk into sleeping mats for men,
women, and children left homeless by the devastating earthquake
in Haiti. When the only other option for the people of this
country is to sleep on the ground, these mats can make a
world of difference.
The
material used for outer milk bags resists mildew and bugs,
making the product suitable for use to make into sleeping
mats. The mats are lightweight and, once woven and completed,
can be used as packing material in shipping containers bound
for Haiti with other desperately-needed supplies. The mats
are transported, free of charge, in those shipping containers.
All
that is needed are your outer milk bags. Please drop them
off in the box outside of the school office.
